Dear Friend,
Have you ever felt like your mind is a tangled mess, unsure of what to do next? Maybe you’ve counted yourself out, convinced that you don’t have what it takes to run this race of life. I know that feeling all too well.
When God called me into ministry, my immediate response was No way. I was a mix of Jonah and Moses—running, resisting, and reasoning my way out of it. Pastoral work? That just wasn’t my thing. But here’s what I’ve learned: sometimes what we call “not my thing” is what we were created for. We just don’t see it yet.
Life is not about having it all together. It’s not about being perfect or knowing all the answers. It’s about embracing your mess because that’s what God works with. He doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. This journey is for the misfits, the overlooked, and those who feel too broken, lost, or forgotten.
If that’s you, then It’s Not My Thing was written with you in mind. My prayer is that as you turn the pages of my book or read through the posts on my blog, you’ll begin to recognize the gifts within you—gifts you may have dismissed or ignored. And just maybe, what you’ve been calling “not my thing” is exactly what God wants to use for His glory.
You are seen. You are called. And yes, you are enough.
With love and encouragement,
