It's Not My Thing
It’s Not My Thing is a journey through my struggles and triumphs in answering God’s call. It provides practical insights on:
- Overcoming feelings of unworthiness
- Healing from past traumas
- Facing fears that hold you back
- Seeing yourself as God sees you
By the end of this book, you’ll rediscover your authentic self. My prayer is that you will stop dismissing that persistent nudge from God and start seeing it as His invitation to step into something greater.
Discovering Your Calling: It’s Not My Thing.
Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough for the calling God placed on your life? That’s exactly where I found myself when He called me into public ministry. My initial reaction? Shock. I couldn’t believe that a holy and mighty God would want to partner with someone like me to impact generations.
I had a long list of excuses. I wasn’t a saint. Surely, there were more qualified, more righteous people God could use. Every week, my reasons evolved. One day, I battled feelings of unworthiness; the next, I convinced myself that ministry should be left to those who were “holier than thou.”
At one point, I even thought ministry was hereditary! But despite my hesitations, God kept confirming His call. And eventually, I decided to step out into the unknown.
Was I scared? Absolutely. Am I still? Sometimes. But through it all, I have witnessed God’s faithfulness, guiding me through my doubts, emotions, and fears. And I believe He wants to do the same for you through my book, It’s Not My Thing.

How the Title Came to Be.
Anytime I felt God nudging me toward ministry, my response was always the same: “It’s not my thing.” It’s not my thing to be a pastor. It’s not my thing to lead a Bible study. It’s not my thing to step out in faith.
But as I walked in obedience, something profound happened—I discovered that what I once dismissed as not my thing was exactly what God had purposed for me.
This book is for anyone who has ever doubted their calling, wrestled with uncertainty, or felt unqualified for what God is leading them to do. It’s Not My Thing isn’t just my story—it’s an invitation for you to embrace yours.
If you’ve ever felt like you weren’t enough or that God was calling you to something beyond your comfort zone, this book will inspire you to trust His plan and step into the purpose He has designed for you.
Your breakthrough, your transformation, your testimony—it all starts when you say yes. Let this book encourage you to embrace what God is doing in your life.
Is This Book for You?
Are you feeling stuck in the mundane, wondering if there’s more to life than just paying bills and going through the motions? Maybe you feel like an outcast, someone society has labelled a reject. If so, let me remind you: Your mess is your ministry. God specializes in turning ashes into beauty.
Perhaps He’s calling you to start a small Bible study at your workplace or pray for someone in need. Whatever it is, know that He will equip you for the work ahead.
So, take off the mask, embrace the journey, and lean into God’s calling for your life. That thing you keep brushing off as not my thing might just be the very thing God wants to use to bring glory to His name.
Remember, broken vessels leak grace!
